Stuart James Wood...
Born in 1989, I have been living in Gloucester for most of my life. I have been a keen photographer for the last few years and I'm always looking to improve myself further. Before I became interested in photography however, I spent a lot of my free time creating images in Photoshop, ranging from logos to skins and desktop wallpapers. I have also recently become interested in computer rendering, starting out with computer parts as they were always at hand and therefore easy to measure. I have been computer modelling for a few years now, but rendering is still a new area for me, and like my photography, I am always willing to learn more and improve the quality of my images.
Like most people, my interest in what I do spawned from seeing someones work and thinking 'God, I wish I could do that'. Most of my skills are self taught, either through reading documentation such as tutorials and forums, or just by playing around with programs or equipment and seeing what the end result turns out to be. The exception is my photography. In late 2007 I took an AS Photography course, which has enabled me to gain skills with a camera, as well as increase my skills with Photoshop. Since then, I have purchased an entry-level DSLR (Nikon D40) and have begun to explore my equipment and hopefully expand my range of skills further. My favourite styles of photography are Landscape, surreal and studio, the latter of which I am in the process of expanding upon further.
This site contains a mixture of old and new work, some dating back to 2005 or even before. I will be frequently updating the site with new images and collections in the near future.
Stuart.
